Founder
Saad Benlabhili
Architect Saad Benlabhili built his career internationally: in the architecture department of Pininfarina in Turin, at Beng Architectes Associés in Luxembourg, then alongside Taranta Creations in Dubai. Holding a specialised master’s degree in computational design for architecture, he founded Heed in Marrakech to bring cutting-edge architecture and exceptional living spaces, where precision and poetry belong to the same drawing.

Talk about your project
How are your fees calculated?
By the scale of the project and the scope of the mission: design only, design and site supervision, or a full mission with delegated project management. We send a clear proposal after a first conversation, with no commitment.
What are the stages of a project?
Listening and site survey, sketch, preliminary design, building permit, construction drawings, tendering to contractors, construction, handover. At every stage you approve before we move on.
How long does a project take?
It depends on its nature. As a guide: a villa takes three to six months of design and permits, then twelve to eighteen months of construction; a renovation or an extension, two to four months of design and six to twelve months of works; an interior, two to three months of design and three to six months to complete; a bespoke object, two to four months from sketch to delivery. We set the calendar together from the sketch stage.
What is delegated project management?
We represent you for the whole project: choosing and contracting the builders, tracking costs and deadlines, checking quality, handover. You keep the decisions; we carry the load.
Do you work outside Marrakech?
Yes. The studio is based in Marrakech and works across Morocco (Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Agadir, Essaouira) and internationally.
I live abroad: how does it work?
Many projects in Morocco are decided from abroad. We work by video call, share regular photo and video reports from the site, and handle every step on the ground.

Heed
We begin by listening: the site, the climate, the budget, the ambition, and the way you want to live, on an ordinary Tuesday as much as on a feast day.

Compute
Algorithmic exploration lets us test hundreds of options (light, structure, views, cost) before a single line is fixed. You see the choices, not just the answer.

Refine
Proportion, material, junction. The design is carried down to the scale of the hand: every detail drawn, nothing left to the site to improvise.

Deliver
From the permit to the keys, we stay on site on your behalf to protect the design, the schedule and the budget, until the place is exactly what was drawn.
